British Airways flight delay caused by mouse | FairPlane UK image

A British Airways flight from Heathrow to San Francisco was delayed today for 4 hours after a mouse was spotted on-board.

As it wasn’t a paying passenger, the flight was prevented from taking off until the stowaway was located. In truth, the plane was grounded as there was a concern that it could potentially chew through cables.

Passengers on board the flight were in their seats ready for take-off when someone squealed on the rodent. All passengers were requested to disembark and the plane was taken out of service. Another plane had to be found and eventually took off over 4 hours late.

We couldn’t get a squeak out of BA when we contacted them to ask if they would be paying flight delay compensation automatically to everyone aboard.
