There are now quite a few companies operating in the UK who claim to be able to help you claim flight delay compensation if your flight was delayed for 3 hours or more or even cancelled.
If you do a Google search then loads come up... including FairPlane UK of course! But which one do you choose?
The first thing to do is to make sure that the company you instruct is not a "claims farmer", but a registered firm of solicitors. Why? Well, there are lots of companies who claim to be able to help you claim flight compensation, but all they're really doing is obtaining your details, usually via a website, and then selling your case on to a firm of solicitors! There aren't many solicitor firms doing these claims. We are one of just a handful.
The second thing to do is find out what percentage of your compensation the solicitor will take if you win. Some firms operate a fixed fee plus a percentage charge so it is often difficult to work out how much it will actually cost you.
We charge just 25% + VAT. Let us know if any solicitor charges less and we will match their charge!
Finally, ask your solicitor, who covers the costs if you were to lose your case. We have a very cheap insurance policy in place which ensures that you are never at risk of having to pay if you lose. It covers you from the start of your claim and you only pay the ?20 premium if you win! No other firm offers this policy, so make sure you ask what happens if you lose. You don't want to end up out of pocket.
You can check to see if you might have a claim by quickly entering a few details about your flight into our Claim Form. It only takes a minute, and you're not committing to making a claim should you change your mind and not want to proceed.
