Thousands of Ryanair passengers have flights delayed image

A shortage of Air traffic control staff across Europe led to almost 50 percent of Ryanair fights being delayed on Sunday.

The Irish budget airline issued a statement explaining that 2,327 flights had been delayed and implored the EU commission and UK government to act now in addressing the shortage of ATC staff.

With 210,000 passengers having already been delayed in June alone, it’s understandable that holidaymakers with flights booked this summer are getting nervous.

If Ryanair didn’t have enough to worry about, rumours suggest that both pilots and cabin crew are considering taking strike action.
